The raven that refused to sing and other stories

Another night. Another concert and very different.
Tonight was Steven Wilson night.
As the last time, the English frontman of Porcupine Tree played with the band he was touring during his second album.
An album he created for them and it shows (or at least it can be heard).
As last time, no guest, just the strange Munch like moon of the new album with some Bass Communion to put you in the mood.
For Mood is of the essence here. Steven Wilson (with of course, visual partner Lasse Hoile) weaves a web of murder, serial killers, deceit, sad and terrible stories with the help of wonderful musicians who really get into the music with ease. Never Luminol sounded better now it has been rehearsed and played a bunch of time.
Of course suffice to say that the mixing of the sound (with back effects like in your 5.1 home cinema boy !) are top notch, enhancing ten times the experience.
Glorious concert with only a small encore, the obvious and very allonged version of the now classic Porcupine tree (solo effort at the time as Steven would put out himself), Radioactive Toy.
Steven Wilson managed to put out one of the best show ever, complete with visuals and powerful musics.
Well done !
